The Claim: Reinforces Lipid Barrier
Ingredient: Jojoba Oil - Pronounced ho-ho-ba, this natural plant-based oil helps other oils penetrate better since its waxy consistency is similar to our skin’s natural sebum. Read study.
Ingredient: Beeswax - In chemist-speak, this fatty-acid packed wax is known as a ‘barrier cream’ – which means it helps decrease water loss on the skin by strengthening the skin’s natural lipid layer. Bonus: Beeswax has also been shown to strengthen elastin fibers (your skin’s support structure). Read Study.
