What: A 100 percent vegan foaming cleanser that gently deep cleans the skin without stripping moisture away.
Who: Those with normal, oily and combination skin types.
Why it works: Star ingredient activated charcoal is highly absorptive, sucking dirt and oil from pores like a powerful sponge. Organic extracts of rooibos tea, sugar maple and cranberry naturally exfoliate, while organic lavender and chamomile soothe and calm.

How to use it:
-Shake bottle first, as product may separate naturally.
-Massage small amount into skin for 30-60 seconds, then rinse.

Perfect for My Troublesome Skin by jessik67
My skin breaks out... it also has dry patches, which makes it very hard to find the right products for it. My dermatologist prescribed me an emollient that has sulfur and sodium in it to help dry out the acne, but then the problem became finding a cleanser that wouldn't dry my skin out further but also not irritate the acne. This cleanser does that!

I have had tiny pimples on my cheeks and chin forever, and this soap is the first time where for weeks straight, even during PMS, I have loved my skin. It can be drying, but this website has so many moisturizers to choose from that I haven't worried about it. I have moderate-oily skin, and this really has been the best facewash I've ever used.

Mild Calming Cleanser for Acne-Prone Skin by beautyjunkie603
Haven't been using this for too long but it does calm down my redness and smooth out my bumpy, acne-prone skin. Make sure to shake this for AT LEAST 30 seconds to get all that charcoal, clay, etc. mixed in with the oilier, gooey liquid. Lathers decently and doesn't dry out my skin either. My skin feels soft, smooth and clean afterwards. I think if you leave this on longer (like a mask) it will help declog a bit better. Overall I like!

i am 57 yrs old and still have breakouts every so often! come on 57??!! anyway i have tried just about everything and finally came across "breakout banisher" oh my goodness!!! it works so well. i've been using it for a couple of months and the only time that i had a breakout was when i grabbed something else to use off my shelf. so i threw away all the other junk and am hooked on this. i just ordered my second bottle and you know what that means ladies! we never ever ever order it again if it doesn't work :)

As a BeautySage panelist, I tested this cleanser for a few weeks. At 19, I've been blessed with pretty awful skin and when I left for school stress sometimes made it worse. I've tried too many name brand products that have done absolutely nothing, but I actually really liked this product. I thought it was awesome that it was cruelty-free and vegan and that it was even produced in the US. You could feel it working as you washed your face and you could tell that it did strip everything off. I agree with the other reviewer that said their skin felt tight after use which is why I also used a moisturizer and if breakouts continue I also used the age-old plain toothpaste trick. These three things along with changing my pillowcases have allowed my skin to improve for the first time in a loonng time, so I'd say give it a try if you want a different product from the same in-store products!

I am in my early twenties, I live in a rural part of central New York, and I have oily acne-prone skin. Initially I was concerned that the product wouldn’t improve my skin because it didn’t contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, but I was wrong. After using this product the severity of my break outs decreased as well as the amount of little bumps on my skin. I really liked that this product contained all natural ingredients. My only concern about this product was that my skin felt slightly tight immediately after using it.

I am a Beauty Sage Panelist. I am 50 with oily/acne prone skin. I live in Atlanta GA. It is very humid and polluted, that causes constant clogged pores, acne, and extremely oily skin . I have used this product for over 6 weeks. When I started using the product I noticed smooth, soft skin immediately. Unfortunately, I noticed the breakouts also. My face started breaking out with acne all over. It took longer than 3-5 days for the acne to go away. This product caused my acne to get worse, but made my face softer than ever! I would have to say that I could not use this product due to the acne prone effect it has on my skin.
