Proven! Our team of chemistry whizzes has analyzed this product’s label claims, and the ingredients that deliver them. Here’s the science behind why it works.
The Claim: Heals Skin
Ingredient: Aloe vera – This soothing plant extract contains a water-soluble polymer that helps it better penetrate the skin and stimulate the skin’s own healing process by quickening cell-to-cell communication (read study).
The Claim: Reinforces Lipid Barrier
Ingredient: Jojoba oil - Pronounced ho-ho-bah, this natural plant-based oil helps other oils penetrate better because its waxy consistency is similar our skin’s natural sebum (read study)
Ingredient: Olive oil - The polyphenol compounds in this good-for-you oil helps keep nasty free radicals (pollution, sun rays, cigarette smoke, oh my!) from wreaking havoc on your skin. Bonus: Olive leaf also contains omega-6 - an essential fatty acid that quickens cell-to-cell communication, which means healthier skin faster (read study)!
Ingredient: Coconut Oil - This naturally occurring oil helps restore your skin’s natural moisture barrier and “fold” down rough patches, which means softer, smoother skin for you (read study)!
Ingredient: Beeswax - In chemist-speak, this fatty-acid packed wax is known as a ‘barrier cream’ – which means it helps decrease water loss on the skin by strengthening the skin’s natural lipid layer. Bonus: Beeswax has also been shown to strengthen elastin fibers, your skin’s support structure (read study).

rosy cheeked. by jleighk
this freedom glow stick in blush is fantastic. i never wear blush but i must say i really like the touch of color this adds to my complexion. it goes on very smoothly and does not feel heavy at all. in fact, you don't notice it on your skin at all....except for the rosy glow it provides. i use it sparingly and blend it into my cheeks quite a bit to give me a very natural just-came-in-from-winter-skiing look. i also add a touch to the bridge of my nose. i think it makes it more believable, as if you have gotten a bit of sun that day. there is a bit of sparkle to it, as well. overall, i would say it would be a perfect addition to your make up tool kit.

Beautiful Glow by DaniDew
I am a Beauty Sage Panelist and reside on Ohio. I am 32 years old and have tried my fair share of makeup balms and I have been quite impressed with the Freedom Glow Beauty Balm. I received the balm in Blushed and have used it as a blush, lip color, and a highlighter. The color is surprisingly sheer and gives a natural glow on my light skin tone. The balm goes on smooth as long as your skin is well hydrated and stayed on for about 6 hours even after applying during hot days. This is a large balm and will last you for awhile. Overall I find it to be a great product for my face in color, quality and value.

Nice! by letmego45
I'm a young (19-24) Beauty Sage panelist living in Tennessee, and at first I was a little scared of this product. I don't normally wear blush, and this was much brighter than anything I would have picked; however, I was presently surprised. This product is very light and buildable, melting right into my skin. I like that it looks pretty natural, both on my cheeks and lips. Don't be afraid of the color!

I feel pretty! by pammypoo55
I am a Beauty Sage panelist living in New York and from the moment I used this bright colored balm on my cheeks and lips, I felt like it took 20 years off of this 57 year old face. The color looks imposing when you first see it in the tube, but it almost melts into the cheeks giving them a 'I just got back from skiing in Aspen look' and I almost wanted to kiss my own lips when I smoothed it on my puckers. Very flattering color (I happen to be tawny beige/honey/light caramel)but I could see this color on anyone from Nicole Kidman light to Alek Wek dark.

Looks natural, feels natural by eimitn
I'm a 21 year old BeautySage Panelist from Florida and this is a wonderful blush balm that goes on easily and looks completely natural. I usually go for more orange-y blushes because my skin tone tends to make very pink lipsticks and blushes look fake and unnatural, which is what I absolutely don't want when I wear make up. However, this rather barbie-pink blush doesn't just coat the skin, it sort of blends into it. This blush can also be built up to a deeper blush if desired, though I've felt content with just a light coating to flush up my cheeks, and maybe a dab of the excess on my lips. I have also tried it on my chest in low-cut tops and it's looked great there as well.
