While taking care of her father during his 8-year struggle with cancer, founder Britta Aragon sought solutions for the difficult side effects her father suffered on his hair, skin and nails. She was unable to find straightforward information or effective products. Even when she tried products specifically targeted for “sensitive skin,” they were often laden with chemicals that irritated her father’s extra fragile skin.

In 2008, she founded Cinco Vidas, a website created for those suffering from the side effects of cancer treatments and from skin conditions like dryness and eczema. Inundated with queries for product recommendations and safer solutions, she decided who better than she—a former makeup artist and skincare therapist—to develop a safe, non-toxic range of products suited for those with compromised skin. The result is a line that soothes and repairs sensitive and fragile skin with gentle, nourishing ingredients.
